Standard Delivery Driver Role – Emphasis on Small Business (Job Template)

Compensation: 

• Helpers: Ages 18 -20 / $17.00 Per Hour  
• Non-DOT Drivers: Ages 21 and up  / $20.00 Per Hour
• DOT Drivers (Needs a DOT CARD)  Ages 25 and up  Per Hour  

 Shift Time(s):

• 7:55AM - 6PM -  
• 10-hour shifts
• Fulltime -    30 to 40 hours per week.  
• Part time - Up to 10 / 30 hours.

As a Delivery Associate, you’ll drive one of our signature blue, branded vehicles, delivering 50-75 packages per day. If drive time is something you enjoy, you will be a delivery hero in the neighborhoods you serve - delivering hundreds of smiles to customers every day in the form of critical supplies, household goods, toys, and so much more. You can expect to work 3-5 days per week and up to 10 hours per day.

As a Delivery Driver, You:                                                               

• Must be at least 21 years old to drive 
• Must have a great driving record 
• Must have a valid driver's license within the state of employment 
• Must be able to move boxes up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation 
• Must have a positive attitude  
• Must be comfortable driving and working in various weather conditions 
• Must be comfortable driving a standard Cargo Van
• Must be comfortable driving 16Ft. Box Truck with lift gate 
• Must be DOT qualified to drive or willing to go for DOT training  
• (We will provide training and Certification /No CDL Required) 
• Must be able to maintain logs according to state and federal regulations 
• Must be able to move boxes up to 300+lbs. (with a helper and accommodations) 

Skill Set Required: 

• Self-Starter  
• Excellent face to face communication and strong overall communication skills

• Able to load and unload a truck  
• Able to drive our trucks safely and efficiently  
• Critical thinking skills  
• The ability to work Independently  
• Good time management skills 
• Reliable   
• Able to use handheld device for routing information/customer delivery information 
• Able to secure packages to ensure no damage is caused to our customers shipment   

Functions: 

• Perform heavy lifting procedures  
• Adhering to assigned routes and following time schedules  
• Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record  
• Safely load and offload customer orders 
• Greet customers upon arriving at the specified location and complete walk-through of the premises prior to starting job  
• Safely drive truck to and from job site 
• Maintain a valid driver's license at all times and notify the company immediately at any time your license is suspended or revoked  
• Reach out to the dispatcher immediately with issues while on the road 
• Conduct inspection on vehicle (truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water.)
